How a stack of trade show cards became a platform
L-Card did not start in a boardroom. It started with a frustration every networker knows well and a founder who decided to do something about it.
2015
Based in Madison, Indiana, the company launches with a clear mandate: build mobile apps with exceptional user experiences that create genuine value, not just downloads.
The Spark
Founder David Chabukashvili runs out of business cards mid-show, then returns home to manually enter dozens of collected cards into a CRM. He starts sketching a better way.
Launch
The digital business card app launches with a custom card designer, paper card scanner, QR code sharing, and a rich profile page loaded with links, videos, and galleries.

The Founder
From $350 and two suitcases to a global platform
David Chabukashvili was born in the former Soviet republic of Georgia. With a keen interest in all things US, he began taking English lessons while in elementary school. In 1994, he graduated with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgian Technical University. David’s first job was at his dad’s plastics manufacturing company as the general manager, followed by a position as the first Country Representative in Georgia for Pepsi International.
It was in that role, traveling the country for trade shows and client meetings, that David felt the full weight of a broken networking system. Paper cards that ran out. Stacks you would never follow up on. Hours of manual CRM entry that should never have been necessary.
